About Me

Thank you for visiting the blog of Craig Vander Hart. I mainly use this blog to think out loud, express frustration, and discuss philosophy, theology, the church, and culture. Please feel free to comment or criticize as you see fit!

For a little background:

I’m a 25-year-old graduate student at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. I am working on earning my M.A. in Philosophy, and I hold a B.A. in Religion & Philosophy from Northwest University in Kirkland, WA. I was born in Kirkland and raised in Redmond, WA.

Seattle is home to me, which says a few things about my interests. I love good artisan coffee, micro-brewed beer along the lines of stouts and Belgians, reading in artsy cafes, checking out indie shows, and occasionally visiting an art gallery or museum.

In Spokane, I frequent the Rocket bakery and the Elk pub in Browne’s Addition, where I also live. I spend hours studying philosophy and theology. As an M.A. student in philosophy my goal is to master the entire history of philosophy. Currently I am working on classical and modern political philosophy along with some work in Christian Metaphysics.

  1. Have you tried either Dick’s Drive In yet? Interesting place and cheap. Used to have the best fries in town. Gotta eat them while they are hot though.

Longhorn BBQ has the best food in town. Spaghetti Factory is not far from Browne’s addition.

By Gonzaga, Pete’s Pizza (behind the Bulldog tavern on Hamilton) has the best calzones in town.

There are other good eateries in Spokane. Some of the hole in the wall places downtown are pretty good too.

I hope you enjoy Spokane! Take a ride on the merry go round at Riverfront park. Make sure you get an outside horse so you can grab the rings.

    Later gator!

    Eric
